I am an Assistant Professor in the School of Politics and Global Studies at Arizona State University. My research examines the political representation of historically underrepresented groups and the institutions that shape inclusion in politics across Southeast, East, and South Asia, as well as among Asian American communities. My work explores how gender, ethnicity, economic class, and other social identities influence political representation, voting behavior, cabinet appointments, and public attitudes toward diversity in democratic and authoritarian settings and their constituent effects (i.e., corruption, public trust, economic growth, etc.).
